FAQs

What does Permit Bestie do?

Permit Bestie helps homeowners, builders, and investors navigate permitting, project coordination, demolition approvals, and city requirements. We streamline the process so your project moves forward efficiently and with fewer surprises.

Can you help if my project is already started?

Yes! Whether you’ve run into delays, need help correcting issues, or want support managing next steps, we can step in at any stage to guide the process and get things back on track.

Do I need a permit for my project?

It depends on the scope. Most structural changes, additions, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing work require permits. During a consultation, we review your plans and tell you exactly what permits you need—if any.

What information do I need before booking a consultation?

Basic project details are helpful—property address, scope of work, any existing plans, and your goals. But don’t worry if you’re unsure—we can walk you through everything during your consultation.

How long does the permitting process take?

The city’s timeline is one thing—our timeline is another. While most permits take weeks through standard channels, we specialize in expediting approvals through hands-on coordination, early issue resolution, and direct follow-ups. Certain remodel permits and Certificates of Occupancy can be secured NEXT day, depending on scope.

How do I know I found the perfect lot to build on?

Submit the contact form and select “Due Diligence” so we can assess your property, flag potential delays, and map out the most efficient path forward. Let us save you the headache
